Apollonia Kotero

Patricia Apollonia Kotero is an American singer-actress and former model. She is best known as the main character in the 1984 Prince Purple Rain film and lead singer in the girl-group Apollonia 6 Apollonia, a singer/actress born to Prince in 1984, became one of many female musicians of the 80s that benefited from Prince. She was born Patricia Kotero in Santa Monica California in 1959 her career began as a model and actress by the end of the '70s including an appearance on the television show CHiPS. The year 1984 saw her selected as the main female in the film Prince's Purple Rain. During that period, he also changed his name. She also replaced Vanity and the trio Vanity 6 for the role. The trio performed on the movie under the name Apollonia 6 The trio scored a modest success with the film Sex Shooter, but it was as Prince's duet partner on Take Me with You from the soundtrack that she had an impact on the charts. She has also appeared on TV shows and movies like Black Magic Woman. Kotero debuted her career as a model. She participated in several pageants. Kotero is the winner of Miss San Pedro Beauty Pageant.
